The Westport Fire Department received multiple calls for a reported house fire in the area of Sherwood Drive around 11:12 p.m. Wednesday, said the Westport Fire Department on Facebook.
Arriving firefighters found a fully involved fire in a detached two-car garage, the department said.
The next arriving engine company established a water supply to the nearest fire hydrant. Additional responding companies, including a truck from the Norwalk Fire Department, assisted with fire attack and exposure protection of nearby homes.
Others assisting included the Fairfield Fire Department, the Westport Police helped assist with traffic and crowd control, and Westport EMS provided medical evaluation for the residents and rehabilitation for firefighters.
